5.2 Qu-16 and Qu-24 Systems

The Qu mixer has sockets for all its inputs and outputs on its rear panel and can therefore be used

without any additional rack. However, if you wish to use a digital snake to connect remote stage audio to

the mixer using a single Cat5 cable then there are several rack options available.

Inputs – Use the Preamp screen to choose either

‘Local’ or ‘dSNK’ (remote) for each channel source.

Adding a rack does not expand the number of Qu

channels available.

Outputs – The Qu outputs will appear simultaneously

at its rear panel sockets and also at the sockets on the

remote rack. The mixes mapped to the rack sockets

are shown in the diagrams here.

Qu-16 + AR84 AudioRack

Remote Mic/Line inputs are available for CH1 to 8.

Mix1, 2 and the main LR mix are available from rack

sockets 1-4.

This compact setup is ideal for a band, corporate

event or small club using a stereo PA and two monitor

mixes.

Qu-16 + AR2412 AudioRack

Remote Mic/Line inputs are available for all channels

including mono CH1-16 and stereo ST1-3. Left and

right of the stereo channels use rack sockets 17-22.

Rack sockets 23-24 are not used.

The EXPANDER socket is not used for audio I/O, but

can also be used to connect to a ME monitor system.

All Qu-16 mixes including Mix1-10 and LR are available

from rack sockets 1-12 (L=11, R=12).

Qu-24 + AR84 AudioRack

Remote Mic/Line inputs are available for CH1 to 8.

Mix1, 2 and the main LR mix are available from rack

sockets 1-4.

This setup is ideal for a band, corporate event or small

club where you are using just a few remote inputs and

a stereo PA with two monitor mixes.

Qu-24 + AR2412 AudioRack

Remote Mic/Line inputs are available for all mono

channels CH1-24.

Mix1-10 and LR are available from rack sockets 1-12

(L=11, R=12).

Qu-24 + AR2412 + AR84 AudioRacks

Remote Mic/Line inputs are available on the AR2412

for all mono channels CH1-24. ST1-3 inputs are

available on an AR84 plugged into the AR2412

EXPANDER port.

Mix1-10 and LR are available from AR2412 rack

sockets 1-12 (L=11, R=12). MTX1-2 and 3-4 outputs

are available on an AR84 plugged into the AR2412
